(Description)

We were responsible for the rebranding of ISI Japanese Language School, one of Japan's largest Japanese language schools, operated by ISI Global Co., Ltd. This included the first key visual refresh in five years, along with brand concept development, tagline creation, key visual production, and brochure design.

(Styling)

The rebranding of ISI Japanese Language School required an advanced design that could stand alongside leading educational institutions worldwide, as well as a timeless concept and visual identity that could be used for years to come. Additionally, it needed to reflect the school's mission of "creating globally active talent." With the development of translation tools and AI diminishing language barriers, and the fact that Japanese is not a global lingua franca, we sought to bridge the gap between the need for Japanese education and the mission of nurturing global talent. The concept was built around the idea that studying in Japan, and experiencing Japanese life and culture, serves as a key growth driver for many international students raised in low-context cultures. The brand concept became "Discovering a New Self through Studying in Japan," with the tagline "DISCOVER THE NEW YOU." In the key visual, the central figure is a female student representing the confidence and excitement of an ISI graduate who has gained valuable life lessons through living in Japan and is ready to embark on a global journey. Surrounding her are nearly 30 students from ISI, who participated in the photoshoot. Their interaction with various aspects of Japanese culture captures the joy and learning that comes with studying in Japan.
